“What Remains of Paradise“ is an intimate film that uses diary recordings to tell of everyday life in a commune, situated between utopia and reality.
Contrasting experiences of community and solitude, happiness and intimidation, ecstasy and disillusionment, the narration of the off-speaker is picked up in the imagery of bright Super 8 and faint mini DV.
