Iuri Maia Jost wurde 1985 in Belo Horizonte/Brasilien geboren. Seit 1991 ist er wohnhaft in Deutschland. Nach seinem Abitur und anschließenden Reisen durch Asien und Südamerika begann er 2007 sein Studium der Medienkunst mit dem Schwerpunkt Dokumentarfilm an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe, das er 2014 erfolgreich abschloss. Es folgten Arbeiten und Kooperationen auf den Gebieten der Installation, des Films und des Theaters. Iuri Maia Jost ist seit 2015 freier Filmemacher, Autor, Editor und Kameramann.

Iuri Maia Jost was born in 1985 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He lives in Germany since 1991. From 2007-2014 he studied media art/documentary film in the class of Thomas Heise at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. After his graduation he worked and collaborated in the fields of documentary film, art and theatre. Iuri Maia Jost is a freelance director, editor, cinematographer and producer.
